The following will come into force on 1 July 2025: <\/span>new CONAI rates<\/b><\/a> for packaging in <\/span>plastic, paper, glass, wood, steel and aluminum<\/b>. Companies will have to adapt to a more complex and selective contribution system, which will reward <\/span>recyclability of packaging<\/b> and will penalize those that are difficult to dispose of.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are CONAI tariffs and why are they changing in 2025?<\/b><\/h3>\n

The <\/span>CONAI (National Packaging Consortium)<\/b> establishes each year the environmental contributions to be paid for each ton of packaging released for consumption. From 2025 the system will evolve further to incentivise the<\/span>eco design<\/b> and the adoption of easily recyclable packaging.<\/span><\/p>\n

The most significant novelty concerns the <\/span>Paper and composite packaging with a prevalence of paper<\/b>, for which new contribution bands are introduced based on the <\/span>certified recyclability level<\/b> according to the norm <\/span>UNI 11743:2019<\/b> and the evaluation <\/span>Aticelca\u00ae 501<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
