A growing number of projects demonstrate how materials from separate waste collection can be transformed into innovative products that benefit the community.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"812\">An interesting example comes from Stradella, in the province of Pavia, where a trial has been launched that involves the use of recycled plastic to create components for public lighting.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"1113\">Some of the streetlights installed in the city are actually produced using a significant percentage of recycled plastic. The project will allow us to monitor the durability of the materials, energy consumption, and overall system performance over time.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1293\">These types of initiatives demonstrate how plastic, if properly collected and regenerated, can be transformed into a new resource for technical and infrastructural applications.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"uiha3g\" data-start=\"1300\" data-end=\"1363\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"1303\" data-end=\"1363\">The role of LDPE polyethylene in plastic recycling<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1553\">Among the most important materials in this sustainability journey we find LDPE (low-density polyethylene), one of the most widespread plastics in the packaging sector.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1555\" data-end=\"1635\">The success of this material is linked to some fundamental characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"1786\">\n<li data-section-id=\"1ed0e7u\" data-start=\"1637\" data-end=\"1661\">high flexibility<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"j6ia2l\" data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1707\">excellent resistance to atmospheric agents<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1fpqtl5\" data-start=\"1708\" data-end=\"1729\">great lightness<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1uukgyr\" data-start=\"1730\" data-end=\"1760\">good durability over time<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"1f6aipv\" data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1786\">high recyclability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1955\">It is precisely these properties that allow the <a href=\"https:\/\/it.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Polietilene_a_bassa_densit%C3%A0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LDPE polyethylene<\/a> to be recovered and transformed into new secondary raw material, usable in various industrial sectors.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1957\" data-end=\"2122\">Polyethylene recycling therefore represents not only an environmental advantage, but also an important opportunity to develop innovative and sustainable products.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1eb055y\" data-start=\"2129\" data-end=\"2180\"><span role=\"text\"><strong data-start=\"2132\" data-end=\"2180\">A concrete step towards the circular economy<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2182\" data-end=\"2339\">Experiments using recycled plastic for urban applications demonstrate how recycling can become a concrete resource for the future.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2341\" data-end=\"2645\">When plastic waste is properly separated, sorted, and regenerated, it can be given a new lease of life as useful, durable products.
