Cristiano Costanzelli began his career in the family business as a boy, learning the secrets of production in depth, inheriting from his father Augusto the immense know-how in plastic materials, and specializing in the production of polyethylene bags and reels. In 2011, together with his brother Simone, he decided to continue the business by founding Teamplast srl.
A strong focus on hygiene controls guarantees a quality product
Visiting the factory today, one is pleasantly surprised by the care, cleanliness and order in the environments. Cristiano immediately specifies how paying these attentions, which are not always taken for granted, simplifies the processes, improving the quality of the finished products and increasing attention to the customer. Every two months, pest-control treatments are scheduled with the installation of insect-catching lamps and crawling traps, to prevent them from coming into contact with the raw material. “As a prevention, and always with attention to the finished product, we use these and other necessary measures” he says. And he continues: “For us it is essential to obtain an excellent finished product, implemented by a highly professional production system.. Gaining experience we have introduced new processes in quality control, towards continuous improvement” explains the eldest of the Costanzellis.
Teamplast has adopted a stringent quality policy, aimed at perfecting and specifying the hygiene and food safety rules in the materials. And for years it has been renewing the necessary certifications, in the search for continuous improvement: “It is essential to use certified material to guarantee an excellent standard in the quality management system, and to certify the company UNI EN 15553/2008 thus ensuring food packaging, safety and compliance in full compliance with community hygiene standards.. How much certifying the company to ISO 9001:2015 guarantees that the production processes are perfectly in line with the required regulations, always to give a greater guarantee to our customers”.
Evolutions in the plastics sector
In light of his great experience we ask him about the future market. It tells us about a difficult-to-predict scenario where research is increasingly exploring the possibilities of disposing of/recovering materials of different origins every day, with constant changes at both a technological and regulatory level..
“In the past, the types of plastic materials could be counted on the fingers of one hand” – he explains – “this meant little choice and consequently little customization in the final product. The many materials currently in use, instead, allow for a more refined result with well-diversified characteristics such as transparency, mechanical resistance, gloss and precise customizations for plastic films, depending on the needs. Once upon a time, all these variants were not possible”.
Cristiano's words reveal a deep knowledge of the sector, as he wisely illustrates the variety of raw materials that can be used in the production of what is commonly known as plastic. With great attention he tells of the scientific evolution that has allowed us to obtain, over time, an enormous variety of polymers aimed at creating increasingly safe and quality products that have improved us in the various aspects of daily life.. Thanks to chemical research, it has been possible to broaden the horizons of plastic production. Today materials are safe, durable, clean and most of them recyclable. For this reason they are also used, above all, in sensitive sectors such as the food, medical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Recovery and disposal of waste: Teamplast's policy
And he concludes by also speaking about the corporate synergies developed in the area: “The company is very careful about recovery and correct disposal. The waste produced is entrusted to local companies specialized in recycling. We always follow the path of new introduction and reuse on the market, in the production of articles with regenerated material”.
After this chat it becomes clear how much attention and experience are needed to constantly improve quality. How many processes and standards need to be evaluated, in addition to the knowledge needed to obtain a final product intended for contact with food and delicate substances in general.
Teamplast, always at the customer's side, is at the forefront for everything concerning the production chain, care and disposal of plastic material. Thus ensuring the end user maximum protection and information for the use and disposal of each of its products.
